Our company has recently successfully completed the delivery of a hybrid power generation system for the Burundi PRCCB Project under the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). A 20-foot container, fully loaded with a complete photovoltaic (PV) and diesel generator hybrid power system, has been shipped and is now en route to the end-user ¨C the management unit of Burundi¡¯s "Programme de R¨¦silience au Changement Climatique dans les Collines" (PRCCB).

As a core UN agency specializing in infrastructure, public procurement, and project management, UNOPS plays a pivotal role in global development operations. The PRCCB project, led by the Government of Burundi and funded by the World Bank, is designed to strengthen climate resilience and enhance the agricultural ecosystem in Burundi's hilly regions.

The delivered hybrid system features a solar-diesel complementary power supply configuration, comprising a 30 kVA diesel generator set and a photovoltaic generation system. With Burundi's national electrification rate standing at only 25.9%, and even lower levels in rural areas, this system will provide stable and reliable electricity to support PRCCB field operations in the hill regions. At the same time, it will significantly reduce dependence on diesel fuel, lower carbon emissions, and cut operational costs.

This order marks the first delivery under our company's five-year long-term agreement with UNOPS. The successful execution of this project not only demonstrates our technical expertise and project implementation capabilities in the field of new-energy hybrid power systems, but also lays a solid foundation for our deeper engagement in UN-system and international development agency on energy infrastructure projects in the years ahead.
